1. Nature of the Application

GlucoGlanceTwiist is an independent secondary data visualization dashboard and passive telemetry mirror. The application is designed to retrieve and display live and historical status records from the twiist™ insulin pump system for personal visualization on Android mobile devices, home screen widgets, and Wear OS accessories.

GlucoGlanceTwiist is an independent application and is not manufactured by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Sequel Med Tech, LLC. GlucoGlanceTwiist is strictly a visual display utility; it contains no hardware control functions, performs no autonomous dosing, and does not conduct mathematical or predictive health modeling.

2. Data Retrieval, Session Credentials, and Telemetry

GlucoGlanceTwiist functions by connecting directly to user-authenticated cloud API endpoints to retrieve user or follower pump telemetry.

  • Account Credentials: To establish session connectivity, users input their twiist™ follower or account authentication credentials directly within the app. These credentials and resulting API authentication tokens are stored strictly on the user’s local device using Android’s secure EncryptedSharedPreferences persistence layer. Credentials are never transmitted to GlucoGlance, sold, or shared with external third parties.
  • Retrieved Telemetry: The app passively fetches read-only operational telemetry, including live glucose values, trend arrows, delta metrics, active insulin (IOB), reservoir levels, pump battery percentage, loop state (Closed/Open/Off), last bolus records, recorded carbs, and active modifiers (Pre-Meal or Workout).
  • Upstream Server Availability & Latency Disclaimer: Telemetry display is subject to the availability, latency, and operational status of upstream cloud API services. GlucoGlanceTwiist passively renders incoming data streams as provided by the connected API; any service interruptions, stale readings, or connection failures originating from upstream server infrastructure are rendered as disconnected/stale states within the local interface.

3. Data Storage, Local Processing, and Device Sync

  • Local Processing: All retrieved telemetry is processed locally on the user’s device solely for visual rendering across widgets, status bars, quick settings, and app screens.
  • Wear OS Local Relay: Pushed telemetry to paired Wear OS smartwatches occurs over the local Android Wearable Data Layer—a local Bluetooth/Wi-Fi device-to-device channel requiring no external internet transmission or third-party server relay.
  • Opt-In Follower Telemetry Sharing: If the user enables Follower mode or multi-profile views, anonymized device telemetry is exchanged directly via encrypted HTTPS connections. Shared profiles rely on temporary access tokens or user-designated UUIDs, completely free of personally identifiable information (PII) such as legal names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

4. No Health Data Selling or Third-Party Analytics

  • GlucoGlanceTwiist does not sell, monetize, rent, or trade user health records, glucose data, or pump telemetry to third parties, ad networks, or data brokers.
  • The app contains no embedded third-party advertising SDKs or cross-site tracking tools.

5. Consent, Safety, and Medical Disclaimer

GlucoGlanceTwiist is a secondary visual mirror provided for informational reference only. It is not a medical device, does not replace primary medical hardware or official applications, and must never be relied upon to make dosing decisions or medical interventions. Users must always rely on their primary FDA-approved twiist™ software and hardware for active glucose management and insulin administration.
