Privacy Policy for GlucoGlance

Effective Date: March 30, 2026

1. Nature of the Application

GlucoGlance is a secondary data visualization dashboard and mathematical utility. The application acts as a passive telemetry mirror for records retrieved from supported CGM systems, insulin delivery hardware, and on-device physiological sensors. GlucoGlance is incapable of medical delivery or hardware control and is strictly a visual-only data management tool.

2. Data Retrieval and Telemetry

The app retrieves and displays historical and real-time records including:

  • Glucose Data: Historical sensor records from supported CGM sources including Eversense 365, Dexcom Follow, xDrip+, Juggluco, GlucoDataHandler, and LibreLinkUp.
  • Insulin Data: IOB (Insulin on Board) and timestamp parsed from Omnipod 5 system notifications. All other insulin metrics are mathematically derived locally.
  • Physiological & Vital Signs: To support Predictive Metabolic Variance Modeling, the app retrieves Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Resting Heart Rate, Oxygen Saturation (SpO2), Respiratory Rate, and Skin Temperature via Android Body Sensor permissions and Health Connect.
  • Activity Data: Step counts, exercise sessions, and activity recognition (e.g., walking/running) used as mathematical variables for metabolic trend analysis.
  • Device Status: Current operational modes of linked hardware (Manual, Automated, Limited) and Pod Session Data (Pod ID, site, insulin load) recorded locally.

3. User-Defined Mathematical Constants

The app stores user-provided variables used solely for visualization and calculation:

  • Metabolic Coefficients: Carb Ratios, Correction Factors, and Carb Action Duration (decay curve) used for local COB and Adaptive ISF arithmetic.
  • Visualization Thresholds: User-defined numerical ranges and color preferences (Urgent High to Urgent Low) used for UI rendering.

4. Data Storage and Portability

  • Local Processing: All calculations are performed locally on the user’s device. No health or physiological data is transmitted to external servers.
  • Local Persistence: All session data, logs, and settings are stored locally on the device using GlucoGlance’s own persistence layer.
  • Watch Sync: Glucose and IOB history are pushed to paired Wear OS devices via the Android Wearable Data Layer — a local device-to-device channel with no internet transmission.
  • Third-Party Sharing: GlucoGlance does not sell, share, or transmit user data, health records, or sensor telemetry to any third party.

5. Consent and Safety

By using GlucoGlance, you acknowledge that the app is a secondary display for visual verification only. It does not replace the primary FDA-approved medical device. All data displayed is sourced from and owned by the user’s primary CGM, insulin delivery systems, and wearable sensors.
